Isn't all of life a Game? Just kidding, I'll have to go with the OG battle-to-the-death book: Battle Royale.

The Irons are a gang of cheats… What is your favourite character that tricks and sneaks around in order to get what they need?

I'd have to go with Ling/Greedling from Fullmetal Alchemist (from the Brotherhood anime. Can you believe they cut Greedling out of the first anime adaption?? monsters). He's not a true trickster character but he fits the bill.

The City of Sin is full of people with dark and complicated pasts. Name one book or book series you used to like, but don’t anymore.

Oh God, the House of Night Series. I was so young and naive.

With complicated pasts abound, we can find many… burnt cinnamon rolls, so to speak. Name a character that has prickly and tough exterior, but is actually a sweetheart deep down!

Four from Divergent actually caring about Tris shook my teen heart. His character develops over the series but looking at just the first book he's a burnt cinnamon roll.

Not only anti-heroes live in the Ace of Shades world! In New Reynes, one can find plenty of villains as well. Which bookish character do you just love to hate?

I typically love villains so it took a while to think but for sure I hate Cath's mum from Fangirl. Oh GODDD I wanted so badly for Cath to go to the Christmas dinner and make a mess of everything. I'm getting heated just thinking about it.

You, much like our main character Enne’s mother, went missing in the City of Sin. The main character from the last book you read is the one looking for you… How screwed are you?

Not screwed at all. The last book I read was Scythe and I know Citra+Rowan would get me out okay.
